This series is the better part of two decades old! It has gone from PC to arcade and now back to PC again. Plus there is a visual novel series thrown in as well. Most of the history though is irrelevant to those of us in the West as Melty Blood: Actress Again Current Code will more than likely be your first taste of the series.

It features some fantastic 2D sprites and detailed background and this version here features over 30 characters for you to play as. You have your weak, medium and strong attacks and you also have a defense button as well. The gameplay is very similar to Street Fighter. Each character has different fighting styles for you to use and testing these out is a lot of fun. You also have a meter on the bottom of the screen which works in the same way as the super meters do in Street Fighter.

Once it is filled you can then unleash a more devastating attack on your opponent. I actually really liked the gameplay of Melty Blood: Actress Again Current Code it is very fast paced and I found myself having a lot of fun with it. There is a main story that you can play through where you pick one of the characters and then fight eight opponents.
